School nursing is a crucial part of community nursing. This preceptorship will provide you with an insight to the very busy day of a school nurse. It is definitely not handing out ice packs and band aids all day long. There is a great deal of computer/paperwork, documentation, record keeping, screenings, immunization laws, policies and procedures, etc. to keep up with daily. I am a RN, BSN, CSN-NJ with 25 years' experience in Med/Surg, Labor & Delivery, High Risk Antepartum and School Nursing with a great deal of knowledge to share!
